
According to press reports, citing famous and trusted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is looking into display technology commonly used by e-readers. According to him, this type of screen could be an ideal candidate for equipping foldable iPhones.
In a new tweet, Ming-Chi Kuo said, “Apple is testing E Ink’s Electronic Paper Display (EPD) for foldable device cover screen and tablet-like applications. Color EPD has the potential to become a mainstream solution for must-have foldable devices On a second cover/screen thanks to the excellent energy savings.”
This technology is also known as Electronic Paper Display (EPD), and it is now mainly used in the consumer sector to equip e-readers. In the latter, the visual display of the screen is similar to paper and provides more optimal reading comfort than a conventional screen.
