
TikTok algorithm is one of the most efficient algorithms.
The app quickly analyzes your tastes, preferences,
and passions and makes sure to deliver captivating content to you every time you slip on another video.
An internal company document, retrieved by the New York Times,
says the algorithm is designed to keep you there for as long as possible.
Watch time on TikTok has even surpassed YouTube watch time with an average of 24 hours of usage per month compared to 22 hours and 40 minutes for Google, according to a report by App Annie.
Teens between the ages of 10-19 represent 32.5% of users and the viewing time for this age group is up to 90 minutes per day. This raises questions about app addiction among younger people.
There is a very simple way to limit the time you spend on TikTok, whether it is for your children or for personal use.

In the app, go to your profile, located at the bottom right of the screen.
Tap on the tab with the three bars (≡) in the top right of the username
We suggest that you go to Settings and Privacy, and tap on it.
Scroll down to “Bien-être numérique” and scroll to it
Go to “Manage Screen Time”.
You can keep choosing your daily TikTok usage limit. In Set Time Limit, you can choose between 40, 60, 90 and 120 minutes.
Click Activate to select the secret code. This password will be required to unlock the app when you reach the usage limit.
Screen time management is now activated. To reconsider your choice, you will have to type in the secret code again.
