According to a new report from The Elec, the new foldable Pixels device has been delayed once again.
The report says that people familiar with the project have claimed that
“the delay is likely due to the product not being as complete as Google intended”.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard this.
A report in November of last year showed that Google would not release the foldable device until the second half of 2022 as evidenced by Google canceling parts dedicated to its foldable device.
This DSCC report also cited sources that Google did not believe the product was competitive enough.
In the end, Google has never confirmed whether or not a foldable Pixel is coming,
nor has it confirmed a time frame — previously expected launch windows were based on rumors and speculation. Based on recent reports,
it appears that Google is willing to wait for its offer to be on par to compete with other foldable devices from major OEMs.
