
According to the famous TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo on his account on the social networking site Twitter,
the mass production of PlayStation VR 2 will start in the second half of this year,
with a launch in the first quarter of 2023.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Sony’s next-generation virtual reality headset will see about 1.5 million shipments during this time,
and the launch itself could happen in the first quarter from 20 to 23 depending on how the planned gaming suite develops.
Elsewhere, Ming-Chi Kuo expects a successful PSVR 2 launch due to the pre-confirmed batch of 20 launch games,
and believes that Sony will be able to accelerate the development of AAA VR games thanks to Sony’s position and resources in the game industry.
In his tweet, Ming-Chi Kuo said:
“My latest supply chain check indicates that the assembler and several PS VR2 component suppliers will begin mass production with approximately 1.5 million units shipped in the second half of 2022.
Sony may launch it in 1Q23, depending on the title development schedule. PS VR2 games.”
